Presidential Awards for Faculty Excellence: new categories, nominations open

George Mason University will recognize outstanding faculty this spring with expanded Presidential Awards for Faculty Excellence. These awards, now in their sixth year, honor excellence in teaching, research and scholarship, social impact, and diversity and inclusion. The award recipients are selected by a committee of faculty representatives and senior leaders. Nominations are invited from across the Mason community through Friday, February 4.

Letters of nomination are not to exceed 1,400 words.    New this year: In the research, teaching, and diversity and inclusive excellence categories, there will be separate awards for recipients at different stages of their careers. Nomination letters should specify the stage of career of nominees for these awards. No self-nominations are permitted, and no individual will be considered for more than one award in a given year.
