Rick Dunkle is a television writer and producer best known for his work on the hit CBS franchise, Criminal Minds, and the new drama series on Fox, Deputy. With nearly twenty years working in the entertainment industry, Rick began his career as an intern at Paramount Pictures then as an assistant at Sony Pictures Entertainment. Rick’s Hollywood experience runs the gamut from network programming to ratings research, marketing, and international development.

Rick earned his BA in Cinema and Television Production from Columbia College Hollywood and MFA in Screenwriting from Loyola Marymount University. He has taught courses in Entertainment and Cross Promotions at Emerson College, Digital Storytelling at University of Indianapolis, and Psychology in Film at Columbia College Hollywood.

This fall, Rick is launching a non-profit organization dedicated to developing and producing content to benefit charities and people in need. Rick is repped by Rob Kim at Buchwald.
