Professor Sangeeta Ray will present her talk, “Dumps and Dumping: Waste and Toxicity in Waste Land and Animal’s People” on Wednesday Nov 12 3pm in Johnson Center Meeting Room A

 

Sangeeta Ray is a member of the Department of English, University of Maryland. She is the author of En-Gendering India: Woman and Nation in Colonial and Postcolonial Narratives (2000) and Gayatri Chakravorty Spivak: In Other Words (2009). Her talk at George Mason on 11/12 focuses on Lucy Walker's documentary, Waste Land and Indra Sinha's novel, Animal's People.
